Success with Active Harmonic Filters

One of our large industrial customers needed to add more electrical plant to their existing supply to meet production demands. The problem was the 5th Harmonic was already close to the G5/4 Limits. The solution was to install Active Harmonic Filters with the new plant. The result was to virtually eliminate the 5th Harmonic Current and thus prevent an increase in the overall levels.

Resisting the Surge

A major construction company had a key area of concern with respect to protection of IT & Data equipment. Having installed UPS & Standby Generators, VAR were commissioned to survey the main site and provide a scheme for the installation of Transient Voltage Surge Suppression (TVSS). The units have now been successfully installed at the head office and the program is being rolled out to regional offices.
